2 -Shifts currently open: Position works 2p-10p; weekends 6a - 2p and 2p - 10p must be open on times.
All positions require Holiday work if your shift falls on a holiday
Our agency is seeking to hire for part-time positions in our RIVERSIDE, Ca location. We service teenage youth 12 – 18 in a 24-hour facility. We are looking for HIGHLY ENTERGETIC Individuals. Hardworking, responsible individuals to fill our open positions: ONLY SERIOUS CANDIDATES NEED TO APPLY -

Education/Experience Required:
Majoring in Psychology, Social Work or Mental Health, if your a junior or senior in college you are encouraged to apply.
60 Units or AA Degree with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience required as a Direct Care Staff experience working with at risk youth
Non-relevant Bachelor’s Degree with 2 - 4 years of relevant experience preferred
Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science with 1-year relevant experience preferred

Computer/Office Skills Required:
Word Processing; Excellent Writing & Verbal Communication Skills
General Office Skills
Must be able to use all office Equipment
Good Computer Skills: MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
Physical Skills Required:
Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel
Ability to lift approx. 30 to 50 lbs.
Clearance Requirements
Live Scan finger printing clearance DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index
Must have a good driving record and be insurable under Corp Auto Insurance- Must have a H-6 printout from the DMV
Description of Duties
Engage in the constant, professional supervision of children individually and in groups at all times to ensure safety for the youth.
Complete Special Incident Reports as required
Assist youth in development of social, hygiene and other skills
Assist each youth with working in a group and in handling individual problems
Administration of discipline and limit setting for behaviors
Attend all required orientation classes, training sessions and meetings as assigned
Participate in meaningful shift exchanges on both ends of a shift daily or when scheduled
Supervise family visits when necessary as well as other appointments as required
Daily documentation of child’s progress, identification of the possible need for professional services, communications of such findings to professional/management staff
Documentation & Verbal Communication must be completed on a daily basis in a legible and professional manner at all times
Preparing Food and Housekeeping duties
Supervise off-ground activities, shopping trips as assigned
All interaction with the youth and their families should be done with respect; mindful of treatment plans with extra attention to the youth’s plan
Assist with the orientation and the training of new residential counselors
Follow all the medication guidelines to include documentation/administration of medication
Assist youth with homework assignments
Must comply with all state, local contract or licensure requirements (i.e. Title 22)
Follow all agency policies and procedures appropriately
Serves as a positive role model and carrying out the mission of DMCS
Other duties as assigned and must be able to handle behaviors.
