Full job description

Reporting to the Residential Care Manager, the Administrator is responsible for the care of each residents’ assigned Community Care Facility programs through the management of individual care, program finances, and staff. The Administrator implements and facilitates each residents’ service plans and provides the necessary ongoing instruction and support services to maximize the individuals’ ability to live successfully as integrated members of the community. These services should be person-centered and focused on individualization, integration, independence, and productivity. Ensures Direct Support Professionals have the tools necessary to complete their tasks.

  • Duties & Responsibilities

·Ensures that each individuals’ interests, needs, care, desires, and rights are addressed in keeping with Salem’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

·Monitors quality assurance of community care programs in the areas of petty cash, P&I, charts, medication administration, ISP/IDT/IPP completion and implementation, data collection, record maintenance, safety, and day program participation and audits.

·Create, submit, and monitor Special Incident Reports, ensuring all required parties are notified within the mandated time frame.

· Orientation of new staff including staff training on Therap, CPI, CPR, and First Aid, Relias, medication administration, restricted health care plans, and vital signs. Training to include the concepts and staff acceptance of individualization, integration, independence, and productivity.

·Ensures program policies and procedures are accurately written, implemented, and maintained.

·Function as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team in the formulation and the execution of Individualized Service Plans (ISP’s/IPP’s).

·Monitor Therap and Relias related tasks to ensurestaff have completed required daily documentation of each individuals’ programming of ISP/IPP’s, t-logs, s-comms, GER’s, as well as staff assigned monthly In-service trainings are completed as assigned.

·Conduct monthly facility home meetings and resident meetings; attend required trainings, staff meetings, and Regional Center meetings.

·Responsible for medication administration including medication pass observation, medication destruction, checking cycle medications, centrally stored medications, and physician orders/MAR updates. Ensure the program and staff are in compliance with HIPAA confidentiality regulations.

· Coordinate and attend resident medical appointments, communicate resident needs at a medical appointment, and perform follow-up instructions from Physician or medical professional.

·Assist with the maintenance of records for current and former residents.

·Assist with maintenance of Policy and Procedure Manual and Disaster Manual, ensuring the facility and program are in compliance with Title 17 and Title 22, California Code of Regulations.

·Write and implement Plan of Corrections and submit to Community Care Licensing and/or Regional Center.

·Provide supervision and support to program staff.

·Responsible for staff schedules and maintenance of the staff schedules to ensure appropriate and effective coverage of staff for the facility home needs. Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly staff schedules provide appropriate coverage for the individuals living in the homes needs for overall general health and safety and based on state and local regulations. Responsible for providing staff coverage for call-offs, scheduling conflicts, emergencies, holidays, vacations, and leave of absences.

·Writes and reviews residents reports monthly, quarterly, and semi-annually ensuring timely completion of all due reports.

· Act as a liaison between Salem and the resident’s family, conservator, case manager, Regional Center, Licensing, and other outside agencies.

· Consults with Human Resources for employee needs and recruits, further staff training and development needs, staff consultation and disciplinary needs.

·Maintains communication with appropriate outside agencies to advocate for Salem residents and residents needs.

·Monitors program financial budgets.

· Physical presence working in the facility home 4-5 days a week, or more as needed.

·Perform Paycom related tasks such as scheduling, punch change requests, time-off approval.

· Conduct fire and emergency drills, and quarterly safety inspections. Conduct regular audits to ensure safety and compliance with the fire and disaster drills.

·Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor and or needs of the home and the safety and well-being of the individuals in the home.

·Ability to work various shifts and overtime as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position is responsible for all employees of the assigned facility home and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within the facility home.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,500.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Education:

  • Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Supervising Experience: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • ARF Certification (Preferred)
