Youth Residential Facility Manager

What qualifications you need to be a facility manager

• Leadership & team supervision
• STRTP / Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services collaboration
• Knowledge of California Department of Social Services (Title 22 & ILS)
• Crisis intervention & de-escalation
• Trauma-informed care
• Documentation & compliance tracking
• Problem-solving / decision-making
• Staff training & coaching
• Organization & time management
• Bachelors Degree or Associates with work experience 

What we expect from a Facility Manager  

• Oversee daily operations of the STRTP (6-bed facility)
• Ensure compliance with Title 22 & STRTP regulations
• Supervise, schedule, and support direct care staff
• Conduct and attend staff trainings 
• Review incident reports and ensure timely submission
• Communicate with social workers, probation officers, therapists
• Manage intakes/discharges and placement coordination
• Ensure the home environment is safe, structured, and therapeutic
• Handle crises (runaways, behaviors, emergencies)
• Maintain staffing ratios at all times
• Monitor documentation (logs, notes, medication records)

What Makes a STRONG Candidate

• Experience in STRTP, group homes, or foster care
• Calm under pressure 
• Can hold staff accountable without being aggressive
• Understands LGBTQ+ youth needs 
• Organized + follows through
