POSITION OVERVIEW

Our programs offer residential drug treatment (30, 60, 90 days) at two sites for women and their young children. The programs provide support in parenting, independent living skills, and positive communication skills.

Residential Care Staff is responsible for the daily supervision of clients and their children, as well as the implementation of the residential program routine and guidelines. The goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment. This position requires an empathetic listener, relationship builder, conflict mediator, event manager, team builder, and community developer.

32 hours a week - Friday/Saturday- 6:45am to 3pm and Sunday/Monday - 2:45pm to 11pm

Must be AOD or SUD certified or registered.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-3 years of related experience in a residential program environment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain current CPR and First-Aid certificates.
  • Valid CA Driver's License and safe driving record.
  • Ability to update and maintain accurate and organized records.
  • AOD or SUD registration/certification or certified Community Mental Health Worker highly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise residents and their children, ensuring that all rules and guidelines are followed.
  • Observe clients in self-administration of medication, maintain medication logs, and conduct random drug tests.
  • Monitor the safety of all residing children and report any concern of child abuse/neglect to the Residential Coordinator and/or Hotline.
  • Assist the residents with meal planning, shopping, and meal preparation as needed.
  • Make regular security checks of the residential areas and building grounds as assigned. Report any violations of security to police if needed.
  • Monitor all the residents' visitors and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Participate in required weekly staff meetings and in-service training.
  • Drive agency vehicles to transport clients for recreational, educational, medical, cultural, and spiritual outings.
  • Understand safety policies and procedures and report any potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with coworkers, residents, and personnel associated with outside agencies.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in all circumstances as required by professional ethics and legal requirements.
  • Perform effectively and professionally under pressure.
  • Arrive at work and meetings on time, stay awake and alert during shifts, and remain on duty until relieved by another Residential Care Staff.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
