This is an interim position with a temporary in-person schedule as outlined below:
- Initial Work Schedule: Sunday–Wednesday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (in person)
- Adjusted Work Schedule (11/2–11/15/2025): Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Expected End Date: November 13, 2025
Please note: Additional support may be requested beyond this date with a possibility to be hired as on call after temporary assignment.
What you bring to SBHG:
- Current and valid License or Certification required: APCC, LPCC, ACSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT required
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling from an accredited college or university.
- Four (4) years direct service experience with the mentally ill, preferably adults.
How you will make a difference:
- Prepares a comprehensive written psychosocial evaluation and assessment on assigned clients, in addition to an intake note, daily progress notes, summary notes (as may be required) and a discharge summary.
- Responsible for assessing client’s readiness for admission and coordination planning with treatment team, the client’s case managers, and transferring facilities
- Responsible for assessing client’s readiness for discharge and coordination planning with treatment team; working with case managers to effect appropriate referrals for placement, case management and aftercare services; coordinates benefits (Medi-Cal) with Business Office personnel; and maintains knowledge of community resources.
- Provides individual group therapy to clients on a weekly basis and as needed based on the needs of the clients
- Interprets facility policies and procedures to clients and family members.
- Verbally communicates to clients their legal status and rights under applicable law and acknowledges in writing their understanding of same.
- Actively participates in treatment team meetings and is responsible for working with other disciplines to develop a coordinated treatment plan for assigned clients.
- Provides consultation as needed with families and the Case Manager on issues regarding admission, discharge and aftercare plans.
- Documents social services that are provided and records them in the patient chart.
- Leads or co-leads therapeutic groups.

- Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
- Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
- Medication evaluation and support services

In accordance with California law, the grade for this position is 68,640.00 - 98,178.07. Placement within the grade is determined based on experience, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
