Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Therapist to join our team as Head of Service (Clinical Director). The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with mental health disorders, possess strong skills in DMH documentation, and be knowledgeable in various counseling techniques such as psychotherapy and addiction counseling. Work schedule is Monday-Fridays (10am-6pm or 11am-7pm) and can vary on different days.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining a safe, healthy, and therapeutic environment at the STRTP.
2. Ensuring that each child admitted to the program has a mental health assessment completed by the associate therapist.
3. Ensuring that each child in the STRTP has commonality of needs with the other children in the STRTP, including whether the child’s presence is adverse to the safety or mental health needs of the child or other children admitted to the STRTP.
4. Ensuring the mental health services identified on each treatment plan are provided and appropriate to meet the individual needs of the child.
5. Monitoring the quality of the mental health services provided to the children.
6. Making arrangements, including transportation, for children to receive mental health services that cannot be provided by the STRTP.
7. Arrangements for special provision of mental health services to children with disabilities including visual and auditory impairment.
8. Ensuring that documentation and recordkeeping requirements are met.
9. Development of mental health staff schedules, training schedules, mental health treatment service schedules, medication schedules, and any other schedules for the operation of the STRTP mental health program.
10. Provide Head of Service responsibility to Mental Health Program including oversight of Mental Health Services, Case Management, Medication Support, Crisis Intervention, and other activities necessary to preserve, maintain, and comply with Mental Health Program Approval requirements including but not limited to Medi-Cal Certification Compliance
11. Directly oversee the activities of all Medi-Cal funded staff including but no not limited to Billing Specialist, Quality Assurance Manager, Psychiatry Services, and Case Management Activities
12. Provide supervision of AMFT/ACSW who will provide weekly Therapy, both individual and group, to all minors and NMD currently placed in the Facility and Transitioned/Step down clients requiring linkages to community-based providers for up to one year
13. Oversee and provide weekly supervision to Therapists providing therapy services (if Head of Service has more than 2 years post-licensure experience). Oversee and provide supervision to all other clinical staff.
14. Oversee and Manage Electronic Health Records and Cloud Based Record Keeping
15. 24-hour availability for Crisis Response
16. Ensure that program activities reflect the philosophical, qualitative, and quantitative intent of applicable funding sources
17. Implement and monitor mental health services planning efforts and activities
18. Conduct monthly training meetings in areas relevant to work being conducted by the agency
19. Participate in the screening and interviewing of new Clinical Staff
20. Provide guidance to the training, educational and professional development activities for all program personnel involved in services to youth and families.
21. Bill 18-20 hours per week (productivity) conducting treatment team meetings, CFTMs, IEPs, etc.
22. Cover direct clinical care for associate-level therapist during times of absence, vacation, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
