Job Description:

As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in assisting developmentally disabled adults in our residential group homes throughout the day. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring all clients are treated with respect and dignity
• Being a mandated reporter and promptly reporting any suspected abuse
• Familiarizing yourself with each client's Individual Service Plan (ISP) and objectives
• Implementing training and interventions as outlined in the ISP and behavioral treatment plan
• Providing quality, data-based client training
• Consulting with the administrator regarding progress and/or problems of client programs
• Completing accurate and timely data and other record-keeping tasks as assigned
• Providing/assisting in transporting clients to and from day programs, work, medical appointments, community outings, etc.
• Assisting clients with self-administration of medications and treatments as prescribed by their physicians after training
• Attending and actively participating in all staff meetings and in-services as requested

• Maintaining a normalized, safe, and healthy home environment
• Working cooperatively with supervisors and other staff

Acting as a role model for appropriate behavior and social interactions in all environments

• Assisting in caring for the physical needs of the clients
• Ensuring chores such as cooking, cleaning, etc., are completed during each shift
• Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

At least 18 years old
Pass background check, physical ability exam, and negative TB test

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
