M-F 8:30am-5pm

What you bring to SBHG (Qualifications): 

  • Two (2) years direct service experience in healthcare and/or in mental health field required. 
  • Four years experience working with the mentally ill preferred. 
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or LPT required. 
  • One (1) year of medication administration experience required. 
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred. 
  • Valid California LVN or LPT license. 
  • Current CPR certification. 
  • Must possess a valid CA driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets the company driver eligibility policy. 

How you will make a difference (Job Overview): 

The Nursing Department Manager ensures that each Crisis Residential Treatment Center (CRT) client/resident, in the assigned facilities, receives the nursing care, treatment, medications, and diet, which have been ordered by the attending physician/psychiatric nurse practitioner. Ensures the overall quality of licensed nursing care for the CRT facilities under her/his purview is maintained at the optimum levels. Aids in the maintenance and implementation of Infection Control plans and infection mitigation plans for assigned CRTs. S/he selects, hires, and administratively supervises all staff in the Nursing Department for the CRTs under his/her purview. S/he supports quality nursing department functions to be carried out under the supervision of a Licensed Physician and guidance of a Registered Nurse. Aids in the maintenance of service objectives and standards of nursing practice. Maintains on-going leadership that is in alignment with agency and program. Maintains and perpetuates departmental adherence to governmental entities and other stakeholders and policies and regulations. Collaborates with external and internal departments and agencies to facilitate adherence to regulating entities policies, optimal client/resident care and the smooth operation of the facilities under her/his purview. 

Division/Program Overview:  

  • 16-bed facilities 
  • Designed for adults with mental health challenges or a recent crisis who need intensive treatment. 
  • 24/7 programs as an alternative to urgent care or hospitalization. 
  • Individuals can live on-site in a homelike setting for a short term while they receive counseling and learn basic living and interpersonal skills. 
  • Able to receive physical and psychological evaluation, mental health, and case management services, in addition to assistance locating permanent housing.
