What you bring to SBHG:

  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
  • Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience performing non-professional, consumer-directed services in mental health, health care, or social service agency.   
  • One (1) year of dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility is preferred. Knowledge of and experience preparing therapeutic diets, is preferred.
  • Ability to physically assist in lifting and carrying food service supplies and equipment without restriction. 
  • SERV Safe Food Handler Certification  

How you will make a difference:

This position has primary responsibility for coaching clients with their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs); preparing meals, and snacks, shopping for food, and other various life skills.  Assist with and supervise meal preparation by current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations.  Ensure that all safety regulations are followed and the facilities are maintained safely and cleanly.  Assist with client laundry, household cleaning and other tasks as needed. This position performs a variety of tasks to ensure that the facility is in a clean, orderly, sanitary and attractive condition.

Division/Program Overview:

  • The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term voluntary residential facility designed to help adults aged 18-59 experiencing a psychiatric crisis safely stabilize, recover, and transition back to the community.

Services include:

  • 24/7 program
  • Therapeutic and mental health services
  • Rehabilitation and recovery services (including substance use rehabilitation)
  • Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
  • Medication evaluation and support services
  • Daily exercise and health/wellness education
  • Crisis intervention.
