Job Description

OTH is a licensed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) located in Nuevo, California. We are seeking dependable, professional, and motivated Direct Care Staff to work with youth in a structured residential treatment environment.

Current Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training/certification is required.

We are looking for individuals who can maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while providing supervision, guidance, and support to youth with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Available Shifts

• Swing Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Overnight Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekends: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM/3:00 PM - 11:00 PM/11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Full-time and part-time positions available. Weekday and weekend availability needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and care to youth in a residential treatment setting.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
• Implement behavioral interventions and de-escalation techniques consistent with CPI training.
• Assist youth with daily routines, activities, and independent living skills.
• Monitor and document youth behaviors, incidents, and daily activities.
• Enforce facility rules, policies, and expectations.
• Respond professionally to behavioral crises and emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, clinical staff, and team members.
• Complete required documentation and assigned shift responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Current CPI training/certification required.
• Experience working with at-risk youth, foster youth, or individuals with behavioral challenges preferred.
• Previous STRTP, group home, or residential treatment experience preferred.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
• Strong communication, documentation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must meet applicable California STRTP employment, background clearance, and training requirements.

Compensation

$20.00 per hour

Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
