Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and compliance-driven Administrator to oversee operations of two licensed Adult Residential Facilities serving individuals with developmental disabilities. This role is responsible for full facility oversight, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, and coordination with Regional Center and Community Care Licensing (CCL).

The ideal candidate understands Title 22 and Title 17 regulations, thrives in structured environments, and has demonstrated experience supervising direct care teams while maintaining high standards of resident care and documentation integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all facility operations and personnel matters
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with Title 22, Title 17, CCL, and Regional Center regulations
  • Serve as primary liaison with Regional Center, CCL representatives, families, and social agencies
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate direct care staff; manage hiring and termination decisions
  • Develop and maintain a written staff training plan in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Maintain employee and resident files, training records, and required documentation
  • Participate in IBSP and IPP meetings; ensure implementation of all identified services
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure alignment with pre-admission appraisals and Individual Program Plans
  • Maintain financial and administrative records consistent with facility policy and regulatory requirements
  • Lead weekly staff meetings and maintain daily operational logs
  • Ensure appropriate supervision, safety, recreational programming, and community integration for residents
  • Coordinate special provisions for individuals with visual, auditory, or behavioral support needs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing direct care or supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Active Adult Residential Facility Administrator Certification (or ability to obtain and maintain)
  • DSP I and DSP II certification
  • CPI certification (annual)
  • CPR and First Aid certification (annual)
  • Residential Services Orientation completion
  • Ongoing continuing education in accordance with Title 22 and Title 17
  • Livescan fingerprint clearance
  • Recent physical with TB clearance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Competencies

  • Working knowledge of IBSP and IPP processes
  • Experience managing difficult behaviors in a residential setting
  • Strong documentation and compliance discipline
  • Ability to lead teams with accountability and structure
  • Professional integrity and sound judgment
